- Santa and his reindeer do not feature here
- Even the humblest of abodes have decorations for Christmas
- Most people have new clothes for Christmas, the little children are dressed beautifully
- Designer labels on clothes are very common
- Public transport is very easy to access and very reliable
- Make up is a waste of timne as the perspiration destroys the effect
- Hairstyles are destroyed during tricycle and jeep travels (Reuben, Stephen and I have given up!)
- There is a very high level of God awareness - Names of businesses, signs and tricycles
- Children and young people are very respectful to their elders
- Anglosaxons are very rare in this area
- Private cars (many SUVs) are kept spotless
